With a vision to offer the finest quality silk sarees, he started his own loom and initially focused on the B2B market. Over the years, the number of looms increased as we built strong customer relationships and delivered quality products. Today, Sri Bommi Silks is not just about a single person; it’s a family of 150 dedicated weavers.
For over four decades, we have been dedicated to offering a curated selection of exquisite silk sarees that embody the artistry and cultural significance of this timeless garment. All our sarees are manufactured in Kumbakonam & Kanchipuram, Tamil Nadu, and are popularly known as "Thirubuvanam Silk Sarees" & "Kanchipuram Wedding Silks". Each piece is thoughtfully crafted, showcasing intricate designs and vibrant colors that celebrate the beauty of tradition.
In 2022, the next-generation entrepreneur Vignesh Baskaran, son of B.S. Baskaran, joined hands with his father to enter the B2C market and take Thirubuvanam & Kanchi Silk Sarees to the global stage. Vignesh believes that customers and weavers are the two eyes that have helped Sri Bommi Silks grow as a brand. His motto is to make the finest quality silk sarees available to everyone at the best prices directly from the weavers.
